Korean memory stocks are *not* weak because of rumours that the U.S. will impose tariffs on Korean semiconductors. There are other drivers: 1. Retail net-buying for KOSPI has dropped by 90% from July (KRW 54.5T) to August (KRW 5.4T) - before talks of tariffs even intensified. 2. Retail brokerage account deposits have dropped to under KRW 100T for a whole week. In general, Koreans have less dry powder in their investing accounts vs. H1. 3. This is because Korean's are funneling their cash into bank accounts - deposits at Korea's top 5 banks increased in July-August to above KRW 1,000T for the…

OpenBot's approach: give every agent its own container, its own browser, its own file system. Approve every action against a policy before it runs. Write everything to an audit log after. That's sound isolation hygiene. But it still leaves you running one agent at a time, in one terminal. FCC Covered List + drone tariffs: US barriers vs China robotics scale

Kate Park, TechCrunch (7:34 PM PDT, Aug 30, 2026): In July and August Washington tightened restrictions on foreign-made advanced robotic systems and imposed steep tariffs on imported drones and components. Drone tariffs take effect in September; additional component tariffs follow in 2027. FCC Covered List (2021) expanded from telecom/surveillance (Huawei, ZTE, Hikvision) to foreign-made drones and most recently advanced robotic devices. Counterpoint via TechCrunch: global humanoid shipments 22,000 in H1; world's five largest by shipments — AgiBot, Unitree, Galbot, UBTECH, Leju — all Chinese, 86% of H1 2026 shipments. Agility Robotics welcomed the FCC decision in July, pointing to Digit designed and assembled in the US. Links FCC PDF DOC-423682A1 and White House drone-tariff fact sheet.

A robot can learn to perform a task almost perfectly in simulation, then fail when it encounters the real world. That’s the sim-to-real gap. In simulation, everything is controlled: lighting is predictable, surfaces behave consistently, objects have known shapes, and sensors produce clean data. But reality is much messier, a policy that works in a perfectly modeled environment may not generalize when those assumptions break. So how do researchers close the gap? 1️⃣ More realistic simulations Build environments that better capture real-world physics, objects, sensors, and interactions. 2️⃣…

Improving Robot Manipulation Policies with Verifiable Short Correction Snippets

Back Introduction DAgger-style correction is the engine of post-training improvement: when a policy fails, a human takes over, steers the robot back on track, and the resulting trajectory goes back into training. Since launching Axis V2, we have collected over 500 hours of human-gated correction data this way. But collecting corrections is not the same as using them well. This report summarizes a round of browser-based community correction experiments built around a simple task: the robot needs to place a block of tofu onto a plate. The existing policy already completes a portion of attempts…
